At the Château de Belaygues, Guillaume and Séverine are very welcoming. It has to be said that Guillaume has had a stall on local markets for years; around here, everyone knows how authentic his wines are and his passion for them… For the last few years, the estate has been undergoing a change. Decreasing from 20 to 13 hectares for greater precision and a stronger link to the « terroir », the vineyard is also going organic. Going from sustainable agriculture to a greater environmental commitment, the wine producer is testing new techniques, such as « green fertiliser », for instance ; and he’ll explain why field beans are planted between certain rows of vines… Séverine, now 100% involved in the family business, deals with sales and promotional events. The very least you can say is that the Château Belaygues is dynamic ! Wine-producer’s aperitifs, themed evenings, visits, premises reserved for professional or private functions on reservation : you’re spoilt for choice !
